I am moving between apartments in an old house and the installer was not willing to run any new cable, not even through the simple existing outside wall with a direct through hole. He refused to run a cable into the living room because he wouldn't go through the kitchen, and he wouldn't run a cable into the other way that it could have been done. He also deliberately cut the existing cable into the living room so I couldn't use it, which I think was pretty mean. The only room to have anything is the smallest room in the apartment, a very tiny bedroom I was going to use for storage.
He also was unable to successfully change my gateway from bridge mode into router mode since I decided to go ahead and use the built in router for now. They tried for 3 hours to make it work and couldn't figure it out.
He wouldn't even give me some cable, he said to go to the central office and they would give me cable.
Pretty sucky treatment if you ask me.
Now I have to get the money to buy a cable and a stapler so I can run my own cable. And yet I have to pay a large install fee and on top of it, I specified no contract and what did they do? Yup, put me on a contract.
