I have a weird problem.
Comcast upgraded me from the old Motorola DVR to the X1 box. I like it. But I'm having a weird issue. My TV is a 40" Toshiba Regza (approximately 6 years old.)
When I use the Comcast remote to turn the Toshiba TV on, closed captioning turns on. I checked the X1 box settings, and CC is definitely off. I have to use the Toshiba's native remote control to turn CC off. (Yeah, finding the original remote was FUN... not...)
So far, each day I've been reprogramming the Comcast remote through the list of Toshiba codes. Maybe the remote is on the wrong code. And by way of giving 100% information, one of the Toshiba's HDMI ports got flaky a few weeks back, so maybe the Toshiba is dying.
But my question: has anybody ever experienced this?
