As you may remember from some of my posts, my cable setup looks something like what I have above. The TV that I had (an old JVC SD set) has been replaced by a 2005 vintage Toshiba model 34HF85 (HD CRT Monitor). My question is in regards to whether I would be able to disconnect DTA #1 (thus going direct from the splitter to the A/B switch) or whether, due to the fact that the Toshiba is simply an HD Monitor, I still need that DTA. I will not be making any changes to DTA #2 as that will still be necessary for my ability to record TV shows.
