I've been in some communication with Comcast about getting their service ran to a neighborhood of 14 houses. I have not gotten very far. I have done as much homework on this as I know. I know that that is Comcast service on that line. Their existing service line is approximately .6 mile from the first hose and .9 mile to get to all the houses. I have in signatures of all house holds that they would subscribe to Comcast services if it was available, and sign an 2 to 4 year contract. There are no other providers available so it would not be like anyone could drop and go to another subscriber. I understand that there a upfront cost to run services. There are poles so underground would not be necessary. Each home would subscribe to services at a minimum of $100.00, that's 1,400.00 a month in the first year that adds up to $16,800. At the present we have on other options for internet service other that FIOS which is very expensive, Satellite which is impossible for secure connections. I would think if I could meet with the correct person they might be convinced. I'm not having much luck with that part. Any suggestions or direction would be greatly appreciated.
