This morning, I had something odd happen on my box. When I called in to Comcast, I got an automated message that there was an outage.
Basically, the only remote key that worked was INFO, and that would display a black text on white screen about entering a PIN. It made no difference what you entered, nothing would work. I could tell the DVR wasn't even buffering as I couldn't hear the drive clicking. It was basically down to just a basic tuner. It wouldn't even display any menus or the channel number as you typed. Rebooting the box made no difference.
Just before 7, the middle of the screen went black, and the box's display went blank, then displayed the horizontal bars scrolling across the front. Then it started acting like a fresh reboot. Not sure if I hadn't rebooted if it would have held onto the guide data or not.
I just got this new box due to the 'HD Enhancement', and was worried something had gone wrong with it.
Just wondering if anyone else in the Chicago area or NW suburbs noticed this?
