[Audio] Question for Comcast X1 subscribers

First of all, I'm a Cox customer, but as their new "Contour 2" product is just the Comcast X1 platform that they've licensed, I'm hoping the Comcast forums here will be able to answer this question for me. I have a surround sound receiver that I connect from my Arris XG-1 box to via optical, and it works fine, I get Dolby Digital 5.1 surround from most live content, from DVR recorded shows, it works fine. However I have noticed that nothing played from OnDemand plays in surround, it all plays in stereo. When I go to the settings menu, it has changed itself to "Stereo" from surround, I change it to "Surround" and as soon as I go back in the menu, it has changed itself back to Stereo. I thought perhaps it might be because I was using optical (no idea why that would matter), but my brother recently got Contour 2 using the same X1 based equipment, and he connected to his surround receiver via HDMI and his setup does the exact same thing; no surround from On Demand, surround from everything else. So, to you Comcast subscribers out there, do you have this problem? I tried searching and didn't find much of anything, so I am guessing it is unique to Cox's implementation of the X1 platform. I will also mention that in Cox's original "Contour" product that was not based on the X1 platform, On Demand content played in surround just fine.
