My story thus far...
I signed up for Xfinity Internet on a Internet+X1 promo. They forgot about the X1 side of the offer at the time.
(The promo for internet said free upgrade and equipment shipment) Afterwards there was a bunch of billing issues that needed sorting out.
So when I was getting billing issues sorted out the Agent offered me the X1 upgrade saying she would put it in that day and there would be no shipping fees or upgrade fee.
I have not heard anything except for a big X1 brochure (almost a welcome brochure) sent to us yesterday saying all the stuff we can look forward to with X1.
Today I called up asking why I haven't received anything and they said the original agent did not place any order (!) and that it would be $10.00 upgrade fee. I passed.
I decided to try again a few hours and the new agent denies that there was a promotion for free shipping and upgrade and that it would be a $20.00 fee.
Should I just give up on this?
Has anyone else gotten this bait and switch and how did you handle it?
Should I just call the original number on the promotional internet and x1 and see if they can sort it out?
