[Cust Svc] How hard is it to cancel TV service these days?

Is it painless and do they just cancel and leave you with internet only if you ask firmly, or do they try to argue/cajole you to death, and "accidentally" lose the call if they can't convince you? Basically, the only way I'm going to stay with TV at this point is if they give me a contract where I'm paying less for everything I have but NO MORE-- I'm already paying full retail for Digital Starter and Blast Pro (150/12) and it's going up on the next bill to well over $180. I don't want VOIP telephony, I don't want home security, nothing more. Just want to stay with Blast Pro internet and get my TV over the internet one way or the other (Hulu/Netflix/Amazon Prime video etc). BTW, a question: they don't have the audacity to charge an in-home visit downgrade fee when you cancel TV, do they (the only equipment I rent from Comcast is the dual-tuner CableCard in my TiVo--I can take that in myself)? Said fee is going up to 70 dollars (from 12--ain't monopolies grand?) on November 1st per the price change sheet in my last bill.
