This is supposed to be happening in all other Comcast markets. Also, the "online page for customers to view upcoming network contract expirations" that the author talks about is not "new."

The new Comcast website at http://my.xfinity.com/contractrenewals lists contract expirations through December, to include that month the Time Warner networks CNN and TNT. Comcast stated it “fully expects” to reach renewals of those deals.
Altice USA likewise dropped ESPN Classic this month from its Optimum cable service in Connecticut as part of a new carriage agreement with Walt Disney, which controls Bristol-based ESPN with Hearst a minority shareholder.EDIT: Edited to say that this is not just in Connecticut.
