I have noticed multiple problems with Comcast's X1 that I hope will be solved in the X2:
1. You can't just enter a channel number and have it switch to that channel automatically, like the old SA boxes and the DTA's
2. The parental controls block every channel for 1-30 hour periods irregularly, requiring them to be disabled
3. The interface is really crappy
4. That command prompt style settings menu is gone
5. The parental controls online reset does not work
6. The boxes have NO RESET BUTTON!
7. There are no buttons on the front of the boxes anymore.
8. Half the time when the comcast techs come over to "Install" the X1, they leave a mess of splitters and cables hanging on the cable drop, and my neighbor had a whole gray box, complete with amplifier, hung off of the wire near the electrical pole, drawing power from the pole transformer, with coax cables hanging to his house.
9. Comcast tech fell asleep on the couch
10. No wires were actually stapled on the wall originally. I had to do it myself
11. He left the rusty crimp connectors from the 1960's on the wire, which I had to replace.
