I had some further questions about the HD lineup that kinda came to light recently and somewhat related to my other topic but felt it needed a new topic.
I've noticed this before but more noticeable now with the new channel lineup. It seems many of the channels in the above 1000 channel, which all should be HD correct(?), are not actually HD. I now have quite a few channels that do not fill the screen(wide screen HD tv) and appear to only be SD content. I had noticed this before on several channels I watched and wanted to ask about this.
I sometimes watch STARZ Encore Western channel which up until today was only on the SD listing(below 1000). Now it's showing up on the HD channel list. But when watching it it doesn't frame the full screen. Same as watching the SD channel. They also added Disney Jr to the HD lineup and it doesn't frame the full screen. Even less than Encore Western does.
So are these actually considered HD channels? They're certainly not HD content. There are quite a few others new channels showing up above 1000 now that do not appear to be HD content.
I'm partially asking for a local friend, who's a member here, and was moaning about new channel lineup. Looks like more non HD channels to go through while surfing.
