Just got my new service installed last week and got my new TV this week and was very excited to try out the X1 platform. I was told that the XG1v4 is 4K capable on Netflix and I set my output resolution to 4K. But immediately I noticed that my broadcasts TV picture quality has dramatically decreased. In particular the color is much less vibrant. I tried swapping out the included HDMI cable to my own high quality one but the issue persist. But when I swiched back to 1080p60 the quality immediately improved. Is anyone aware of this issue? I know broadcast TV is in 720p mostly but I really don’t want to having to switch around the settings when I want to watch Netflix and switch back when I watch TV.
Does anyone know if this is an issue with my TV, the cable or the X1Gv4 and if there’s any work around?
