Had some problems:
Setup - 2 HdDvrs (upstairs/downstairs)
1 HD reciever (bedroom)
The HD reciever never booted...had three blinking lights for 25 hrs (tech said to enter the numbers he gave after it booted...claimed it would be 2 hrs). Called and they have to send a tech friday.
When watching a show taped from upstairs, no matter the content, it only comes in as PCM on my stereo. Since I have the DVR box downstairs too I assume i'll be able to simply switch the default DVR to the downstairs (where the stereo is)...maybe the stereo sound doesnt come through the anyroom dvr?
Had to reboot both HdDvr's today. Upstairs I simply held the power button after the guide froze. This seemed to remedy the problem. Downstairs the same thing happened and I rebooted but then it wouldnt connect to the dvr, had to manually update from the settings menu in the guide...took about 20 minutes...but the nice part is that while it is updating the stb displays the percentage complete so you have a good idea about how long it will take. Once updated it was fine...
So my 2 questions are really about the stereo...and how often do the boxes need to be updated.
