New Double-Play Promo but no Cable Cards?

So my 2 year contract is coming to an end here in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I currently have the double play Internet 250/20 with 140+ tv channels for $110 monthly. I use 2 TIVOs with 2 cable cards. I do not use any Xfinity devices. I logged into my Xfinity account to see what package options are available to go for when my contract ends. I found a great deal in double play Internet 400/20 with 125+ tv channels for $100 monthly. Increased internet speeds, only lose a few tv channels, for less money. I was excited and attempted to proceed to change to this package online. I started the check out process and got to a screen which requires I order the number of X1 devices for my home. No option to continue cable card, no option not to select any devices. A note displayed indicating I must return my cable cards and select X1 devices to accept this plan. My next step was to try Xfinity live chat. The agent said all new packages are required for us to return cable cards and add their devices. I said no, then picked up the phone and called and was told the same thing. No new packages allow cable cards. What is happening here? I love my TIVOs, much better than X1 to me. In any case I think my next step is to go to my local Xfinity store and try to get help in person. If anyone knows a way around this please let me know. I was excited to learn that here in my area the Internet Extreme Pro is 400/20 speeds, not 400/10 like it is in some other areas. In any case, how can I work around this no cable cards allowed for new packages thing they seen to be pushing?
