I just got Xfinity TV. I am in Houston market and will use local channels as example to my question.
What is the difference in all the same channels. For example, the local NBC affiliate has its HD channel on 612 and 1002. There is also a lower number channel - that one is easy to figure-out; its is SD. But both the 612 and the 1002 are HD of the NBC local channel and have same show line-up.
So what would be the difference in them? If no difference, is there any reason there are 2 of them?
