I want to warn people of unsolicited comcast sales calls. I answered the phone today and it was a comcast sales person claiming that in 2 months half of our contracted discount, which was good until September, was going to disappear. I bit on her pitch. We were locked into a contract for a $50 discount and she claimed half of it would disappear in February. So she signed me up for a triple play, when a specifically I told her I didn't want phone. She assured it wouldn't include phone.
Sure enough I get on the computer to check the order, and it included phone. I did call back later and change things to get rid of phone. Meanwhile, ID, WGN America and WE are gone, which I expected based on things I've read here and elsewhere.
Comcast sales people will lie to you. First sales person lied to me twice! The second person to me everybody will eventually lose these channels at some point anyway. I mentioned to the first person about losing channels if you change plans. She said that she didn't know where I heard it. Actually, that's lie number three, about the 3 missing channels.
Sorry for rambling on, but I wanted to warn people and vent a little. No wonder people hate comcast and cut the cord.
