I'm posting this on behalf of a family member that has a kid and is a Xfinity Cable TV subscriber. Apparently she has always been able to use the Nick Roku app with her Comcast account as late as December but today when she tried to use it, it requested she activate the app. That in itself is not so unusual, I guess it seems to happen every now and then. What was different today was when she went to the Nick activation page in a web browser, and entered the code provided on the Roku screen, it asked her to select her provider and neither Comcast nor Xfinity were on the list! So what she is wondering is whether Comcast is in some sort of dispute with Nick, or is there some other reason this might be happening? She has a rather unhappy kid (apparently some show he watches was supposed to be available today) so would like to find out what's the problem, since she is definitely paying for a package that includes Nick (not that I think that is the issue, since Xfinity wasn't listed as a choice on Nick's activation site). She says if her kid can't access the Nick app anymore that could be the straw that breaks the camel's back for her with regard to continuing her Xfinity TV service subscription, since I know she feels like she is getting less value from it these days.
