Planning to get triple play and would like to know how long comcast voice network will typically work after a power outage. I am going to install a ups backup for the X1 gateway and not planning to buy the optional xfinity voice battery backup unless it has an advantage for voice. So, the main part of the question is about cc voice network side and meeting or exceeding the gateway backup time on my end.
I think remember the XB7 gateway uses 40 to 50 watts (seems pretty high). Anyone know the watts on the xg1v4 box ? I would consider backup for xg1v4 if the power use was low enough.
