My current FiOS Triple Play contract expires in approximately one month and it looks like I'd be facing a significant bump in monthly fees. Comcast seems to have made great strides since I left in 2008 and what was once a clear-cut FiOS advantage is no longer the case.
It's impossible to do an apples-to-apples comparison but I would like to keep things as close as possible to what I currently have from Verizon. Specifically, I have the Ultimate HD TV package (includes all premium movie channels, sports package, Red Zone), multi-room DVR with 6 total HD boxes, "35/35" Internet which is really ~42/33 and unlimited US phone calling.
The offer I see for my area online for the most similar product is as follows:

Maybe some of you who have experience with both providers (e.g. uid://548382 ?) can give me some insight? Does Comcast still include all those free VOD movies? Will the slower upload speeds be noticeable? Will the prices jump way up after the first year? Thanks.
