Has anyone had any luck exchanging an x1 box for the older box and getting a refund for the installation fee? The contractor who installed the X1 told me that if I wasn't happy with it, I could exchange it at one of their stores within 3 days and get a refund for the installation charge. Of course, the CSR I spoke with on the phone today said that they never heard of this policy. They also said that the 30-day rule doesn't apply because it's an upgrade of service, not new service.
When I saw that the installers were contractors, I should have sent them away and requested Comcast people. They were nice enough, but they were in a hurry and unable to answer my questions about the box.
