Looks like the Xfinity folks pushed the "new" channel guide permanently today. The recall code "9896" no longer works. Now I have a 55" flat screen on which I can only see a row of 6 movies titles at a time, where before I could see at least 15 or more. Also you have to read the movie titles off of the videos, which can be difficult at times. Guess now that the videos are 15" or so in size, I can make it out. Being an Engineer myself at a Fortune 100 company, I understand the need to change something when a product is deficient or does not meet the customer's needs. I assume since this upgrade has resulted in slower performance, lower resolution, loss of features, 80's graphics (yea, shading/beveling was nice), it was a Xfinity management decision. Look for advertisements to come soon in the future when you order that movie, maybe for popcorn discounts or free movie vouchers. Well, this sucks. Plan on calling Xfinity and at least asking if they plan on providing an option to increase the resolution for large screens. And what about that lame blue button mini view of your show? It covers up the show time and channel. If anyone has anything positive to say, please say it! There will always be a new channel guide in the future. I only hope they listen to the complaints and make improvement since they dropped the ball on this one.
