I am in the process of drawing up plans for a pool house and need to run tv / internet to it... right now the plan calls to have three conduits ran to it from the service entrance of the main house.. these would be 3" buried PVC lines (the gray kind).. One of those is for electrical of course... one will have Cat 6 / Telephone (also ran as Cat 6 just incase) and Coax... multiple runs of each for redundancy / backup if a line went back or something...
the distance will be about 160 ft from where the lines punch down in the wiring room to the other punch down point in the pool house...
I'm pretty sure the Cat6 isn't an issue at this length as it's under 300 feet... but when it comes to Coax, I know you lose db's over length...
what would be the best cable to run? or would it be something I can't get myself easily and should just let Comcast run?
