Wow ... after googling the address for one of the Comcast retail stores in my area, I discovered one can book an online appointment at the store !! The online form has different categories for the visit and one gets an email confirmation number. They are in 15-minute slots for ANY category which could be interesting on the "pay your bill" as I've witnessed people kibitzing about their bill at that store for 45+ minutes, lol.
I am cautiously labeling this as "praise" in hopes this appointment thing actually works AND that I can get a Legacy STB. My poor DCT700 bit the dust last night.
Has anyone else used these CC Retail store appointments ? Just curious.

OT: Reaching knowledgeable phone support still requires multiple calls. First agent INSISTED a truck roll was needed -- before I "validated" my service address. Then said I didn't have TV service on my account. Second agent very good.
