I have had X1 service since July (standard def service for the 39 years prior) and when going through some of the channels in both the Pluto and Xumo apps, some of the channels will freeze and buffer without warning. I am aware that the internet gateway coax must be split off the coax going to the TV's and this has been the case since 2001 when the Internet service was first installed. The Check Signal selection on the Comcast Labs menu always shows a good signal (five green bars), yet some of the channels still freeze, I am also aware that the channels use the Internet data, however I've been told that the Internet speed going to the X1 boxes is /not/ the same speed that I'm paying for (300Mbps) going to the Internet gateway. All of the coax connections were checked and found to be tight. On a hunch, I switched the cable running from the box from an HDMI to coax and the channels still froze going through the coax.
I emailed Pluto's support e-mail address three months ago - never received a reply.
Is there any possible explanation as to why some of the Internet channels are doing this? Latency? Too many users watching the same channel at the same time? I've ruled out everything else.
Thank you.
