I have new Xfinity TV services added to existing internet. On my XG1v4, I notice random black screen. They last a few seconds. I still hear audio when it happens.
I have mostly watched sports on it when it has happened. It is live watching and those are either local channels or the various Fox etc. sports channels. I have not seen it happen on recordings from AMC, TNT and channels like that - I have not tried any of those live. Also, I have not noticed it on the non-DVR Xfinity boxes in my house.
I had resolution on 4K on the XG1v4. I am now trying at 1080 to see if it happens as much.
Do you think it is the HDMI cable? It is an Amazon Basics HDMI cable between the XG1v4 and my Denon receiver and between the Denon and TV is a Monoprice HDMI cable certified for 18 GBPS and my Apple TV 4K unit tested that cable and the same, but shorter cable between the Apple TV 4K and the Denon, as compatable for 4K HDR. The Apple TV 4K's internal test is pretty picking and does not pass many cables, so those cables are evidently good quality. SO if an HDMI cable issue, I assume it would be one between the Xfinity box and my Denon receiver.
Does the above sound like an HDMI cable issue or is it a known issue or is my XG1v4 bad?
