[Other] Comcast program guide switching from Rovi/TV Guide to Gracenote
Since Wednesday, I noticed the text on Comcast's EPG (at least on the Memphis system) had changed, with the program descriptions about the same (word for word) as those on Zap2it.com. There were some slight variations in the program titles. They used to get their listings from TV Guide. Is this happening on other Comcast systems or with other providers?

Just wondering if anyone has managed to download the Xnfinity TV App to an Android TV box and get it working successfully? It works fine on my tablet, but crashes on the Nexus Player and Mi Box.

[X1-X2] Will old RNG150N HD Box work with X1 DVR?
I currently have old Comcast TV equipment -- a Motorola two tuner DVR in the living room and a Motorola RNG150N HD box in a bedroom where an older TV has component-in but not HDMI. The RNG150N has component video out which will play live TV, or programs recorded on the DVR, and will play them in the full resolution of the channel or the recorded program. (i.e., the component out on this box isn't limited to standard def like my Sony Blu-ray player in which Sony doesn't allow HD over component.)
Comcast has been sending me letters and e-mails encouraging me to upgrade to X1 for free. I would like the 6 tuner DVR, but I want component out on the extra box for the bedroom. From what I can see on the Xfinity webpage that compares the various X1 TV boxes (https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/x1-hub-vs-companion-box/) , the only non-DVR HD box that has component-out is designated as "RNG150N", which is what I already have. If I turn in the old DVR for an X1 DVR, and keep the older RNG150N box in the bedroom, will the non-X1 RNG150N still work for playing back programs recorded on the X1 DVR, and play them back in HD (assuming of course that the recording is HD)?

Comcast Needs To Add Cozi And Laff
Comcast needs to add Cozi and Laff these 2 channels are great. I would have liked to see Grit added but now Grit just might be the worst network on over the air playing 27 hrs a week of Walker Texas Range and 90% of the programing is westerns.

[Comcast Equip] X1 Locking up
The main cable box is a AR ax013anm DVR that just locks up and freezes, has been doing that for sometime now.
The box has been replaced once.
Comcast has sent two techs out, at different times, who said the signals are fine and changed the splitter and re-terminated all ends. That didn't help and the box still hangs up and freezes 2 or 3 times a week.
I replaced all the coax with quad shield and used weather proof compression fittings throughout. That didn't help.
The only way to get the box working again is to unplug the power and reboot as the "A" button on the remote doesn't work to do restart or system refresh.
Running out of things to do and wanted to check here before driving to the Xfinity store and replacing the box again.

[X1-X2] Lost 30 skip on X1 box
Yesterday (Thursday 12-15-16) I got home and turned on the TV to watch some recorded shows. I noticed that using the page up that did a 30 second skip was set to skip 5 minutes. It was never like that even when I first received the X1 box a year ago. So likely a software update from that morning changed it. So I looked online and found some codes that were supposed to correct this back (Watch live TV and then press exit 3 times then enter 0030). Tried several times and did not work.
I tried to un-pair and pair the remote back, still did not fix the issue.
I finally called Comcast got to this woman and explained the issue and she said that the receiver should have never allowed 30 second skip and that it should be 5 minutes forward or back. I tried to explain further that it has never been that way and always 30 sec forward and 15 sec back. She refused to transfer me to someone else indicating that she was "Executive Support".
Needless to say, I hung up and called back. Explained to the next guy the issue and the experience I had with the prior tech. He said yes she was wrong and in fact it should be 30 sec forward and 15 back unless you change it.
I told him the steps I took and he said that was good as those were the steps he would have had me do. The last step was to power off and back on again the receiver itself. Once back up the 30 second skip forward and 15 second back worked again.

Is there a channel lineup that ONLY includes my channels?
I'm looking for a channel lineup that only includes the channels I have in my package. I get the fact that it is in Comcast's best interest to show me 1024 channels in hopes that I'll upgrade/PPV, but I only want to see the lineup/guide for those channels in my package. I have the Internet Plus 25 Choice (Includes Limited Basic, Streampix, Selected Premium Channel, Digital Converter, and Performance Internet 25).
Is there a resource online that I can filter to view via computer? Is there a way to limit the guide on the X1 box?

i was wondering all set top boxes including X1,when tuning in a channel the inband network or downstream is used,the upstream is used for the guide data,what is used to pull in a video on demand program,upstream,downtream.in other words how does video on demand work?

[OnDemand] On Demand not working
My On Demand is not working for the past 48 hours. Chat support has scheduled a dispatch after they exhausted their options but I'm pretty sure this is a head-end issue. Houston market. I get all sorts of errors depending on when I try--VM-255, CL-7, Error 14, etc.
My aerial drop (which is less than 6 months old) goes to a Broadband Extreme asymmetric 3-way splitter (-7 dB on two ports, -3.5 on one port). Cable modem is connected to -3.5 dB port and the DVR and DTA are connected to the -7 dB.
Signal levels on cable modem are good (downstream channels have SNR of 38 to 39 dB and power of 4+ to 5+ dBmV, upstream power is 45 to 46 dBmV).
I bypassed the splitter and connected the aerial drop to the DVR with a barrel connector and there is no change. I change the cabling to the DVR and there is no change.
What really is dispatch going to accomplish?

X1 sports app
first of all signals are good,46 upstream,39 downstream SNR,and downstream power at 7.did anybody ever notice when you open the sports app and scroll through the different sports scores and future games,that you will find a game here and there that the images will be missing but when you click OK all the information will be there?reboot don't do anything.
